Kaset for MAC

Free, open-source native Mac app for YouTube Music and YouTube, with lyrics, an equalizer, media keys and Apple Music-style design.

Kaset Overview

Kaset is a native macOS app for YouTube Music and YouTube, built with Swift and SwiftUI. It gives you a clean, Apple Music-style window with a sidebar and a player bar, and a switch between Music and YouTube. Sign in with your Google account to play your library, liked songs, playlists and podcasts, explore new releases, charts and moods, and search for songs, albums and artists. On the YouTube side you can browse recommendations, subscriptions, Shorts, Watch Later and history, and watch videos with captions, quality choice and picture in picture.

Kaset adds what the website lacks on a Mac: Now Playing in Control Center, media keys, Dock controls, notifications for new tracks, a 6-band equalizer, synced lyrics, keyboard shortcuts, Shortcuts, Siri and AppleScript. Music keeps playing when the window is closed. Kaset is made by Sertaç Özercan and is free and open source under the MIT license. It is an unofficial app, not made by or affiliated with Google or YouTube. Version 0.14.2 needs macOS 15.4 or later. Kaset is not notarized by Apple, so the first time you open it you allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
